Dana Point’s Active Lifestyle Connections
In Dana Point, we believe everyone deserves to have a little fun and harbor the good life no matter what your age is. That’s where the Active Lifestyle program comes in with activities that are geared for adults ages 50 years and older. Expanding on our successful Active Lifestyle events; we’re now hosting Active Lifestyle Connections.
Whether you are looking for friends to spend time with or find love again, Active Lifestyle Connections is a great way to meet other singles in the area. Connections is held the third Monday of each month from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., beginning August 19th, with a delicious Ice Cream Social! Enjoy the relaxed, casual atmosphere at the Garden Café with light refreshments.
Active Lifestyle Socials: Themed socials are held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and feature dinner from a local restaurant, entertainment, and free raffle prizes. The Active Lifestyle Socials for this quarter will be held August 22nd (Luau) and October 24th (Halloween).
Active Lifestyle New Year’s Eve Casino Night Social: Casino night will run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with the countdown taking place at 9:00 p.m. Dinner will be catered by a local restaurant, followed by dancing, free raffle prizes, and alcoholic beverages for purchase.
Friday Flicks: A variety of movie genres – classic, current, musicals, comedy, drama, etc. will be shown each Friday in the Garden Café at the Dana Point Community Center. The movie begins at 1:15 p.m. There is free popcorn, candy, hot dogs, and beverages.
Game Day: This drop-in program is held each Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Socialize, play cards, board games, Mahjong, puzzles, etc.
The Active Lifestyle program even offers monthly blood pressure checks, free notary services (60+), Alzheimer’s Orange County Workshops, brain health classes, and caring conversations to help as family members age.
