All Aboard, The Dana Point Trolley Has Added New Stops to it’s Route!

Summer is right around the corner, and you know what that means… Happy Trolley Days. The Dana Point Trolley is back and better than ever. Thanks to all of the support from the community, the City has expanded the Dana Point Trolley route! We are just weeks away from the first pick up! The new route will start on June 8th and run through Labor Day. As always, the Dana Point Trolley is free!

Cruise the coast this summer as the trolley takes visitors and residents to shopping, major hotels, the Harbor, Doheny State Beach, Lantern District, Doheny Village, Capo Beach, the community center, and Strands Beach. The trolley will now also link to San Juan Capistrano at stop 17 and Laguna Beach at stop 1. The expanded trolley route will feature eight new trolley stops including coastal, south points and inland points:

Coastal Stops:

  • Dana Point Harbor Drive and Puerto Place
  • PCH Pedestrian Bridge-Northbound and Southbound
  • Coast Highway-Southbound

Points South:

  • Camino de Estrella and Camino Capistrano
  • Camino Capistrano/Doheny Place (Pines Park)

Points Inland:

  • Dana Hills High School and Golden Lantern
  • Golden Lantern and Selva Road
  • Niguel Road and Stonehill (Sea Terrace Park access)

Living and visiting Dana Point comes with lots of perks, and we want everyone to have easy access to the city’s attractions, entertainment, shopping, dining, beaches, and parks. Whether it’s for date night or to entertain the kids for a few hours, there’s fun to be had upon the Dana Point Trolley. Beat traffic, save gas, get some fresh air and feel the wind in your hair. If you didn’t have enough reasons to jump aboard, here’s another. The Dana Point Trolley stops right at the Saturday farmers market! You can grab some snacks, hop back on the trolley, and ride it straight to the beach. Plus, the trolley is pet-friendly.

We are excited for a fun summer in Dana Point, and we hope this gives you something to look forward to this summer. If you haven’t already downloaded the Shuttle Tracker app, do so now and follow the Dana Point Trolley and shuttles in real time. See you soon summer 2018!
