What was your favorite photo your family took this summer in Dana Point? A day at the beach or fun in the harbor? Whatever it is, we want to see it! The Community Calendar Photo Contest is here, and this year’s theme is “Fun in the Sun with Family and Friends.” The City of Dana Point is now accepting submissions.
Twelve to fifteen winning entries will be featured in the City’s 2020 Community Calendar. Residents are encouraged to send in photos that share the best of Dana Point and its sunny lifestyle.
Photos can be provided in a digital format through social media using #picturedanapoint or emailed to picture@danapoint.org. If the image you are submitting is filtered on social, please email us an original copy of it.
The deadline for submission is Labor Day, September 2, 2019. Contest rules are as follows:
- All photos must have been taken in Dana Point
- Submit descriptions, including location, and photo contributor
- All of the selected winning images must be submitted as a tiff file for quality purposes
- There is no limit to the number of submissions
Winners will be announced online, and the City will contact each winner. Images will be selected for each of the twelve calendar months, as well as featured on the cover and back of the calendar.
Each year the new edition of the calendars are given out around the community for free. Calendars can also be ordered through the City.
The Dana Point calendar has become a favorite part of the City’s culture and is an exciting way to show how much residents and businesses love their City.
