End of Summer Luau Concert
The City of Dana Point will be pickin’ up good vibrations at the Concerts in the Park – End of Summer Luau Sunday, August 18 at Sea Terrace Park from 3- 6:30 p.m.!
Entertainment includes Tunnel Vision (Surf, Reggae, Ska Music), Island Inspirations Polynesian Dance Show, and Surf City All-Stars (Beach Boy, 60’s Surf Era Music).
A variety of local non-profit organizations will have informational booths:
- Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary
- Age Well Senior Services
- Coastal Communities Relay for Life
- Music Preserves Foundation
Jim Curwood, the owner of Buy My Bikes, will be conducting a FREE drawing for a beautiful new bike, which will be given away at the end of the concert.
Last but certainly not least, a “Surf Safari,” of local Dana Point surf shop retailers will display custom vintage VW buses, artistically altered surf vans, and modern surf vehicles displaying the coolest hard good surf sleds and surf gear in Southern California. You can see everything from classic surf club longboards to modern-day, futuristic hydra foils. There will be interactive games with raffle prizes throughout the afternoon. Celebrity surf guests and Eric Diamond from Dana Point Surf Club will be painting a vintage board on-site to raffle off at the end of the concert as a fundraiser for Dana Point Surf Club.
VFW Post 9934 will be having a benefit BBQ serving hot dogs, sausages, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and nachos with proceeds helping local Veterans. The Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group will be selling beer and wine with proceeds benefiting the 5th Marine Regiment/Camp Pendleton. Knights of Columbus will be selling water and sodas, and Dana Hills High School athletics will be selling ice cream treats.
It’s first-come, first-served with parking on sections of Stonehill & Niguel Road and the Salt Creek Beach Parking lot. You can also hop on board the DP Trolley anywhere in town and get off at stop #1 for the fun.
