Dream Big and Build Community at the Mermaid Market in Dana Point

Drew & Elise Capener are South Orange County locals and the founders of the Mermade Market! The Mermade Market is a three-day event that feels like a pop-up shop, meets craft fair, meets farmers market, meets family reunion. The market hosts some of the most incredible creators, crafters, and artisans in Southern California. Amongst all the friendly faces and shopping finds at the Mermade Market, you’ll typically find food trucks, balloon animals, treats, and live music.

Mermade Market has become a community staple that delivers incredible products to eager fans twice a year. The Mermade Market is held at the historic Dana Point Clubhouse that was built in 1964. The venue plays a big part in the market’s charm allowing Mermade Market to be a gathering place, housing both indoor and outdoor vendors.

Built upon the Capeners’ vision to bring together likeminded lovers of shopping small and thinking big in Dana Point.  Inside the perimeter, you’ll find the inside portion of the market to be a pressure-free way to shop. The artisans have their shop spaces set up, but they aren’t there trying to sell you as you walk by.  The outer perimeter, is the exact opposite.  Here the artisans stand under Mermade tents, ready to sell to you and keep the good vibes rolling.

Since its debut in 2014, Mermade Market offers an experience of feeling fulfilled, satisfied, and happy. The next Mermade Market will take place from May 9-11. This will be the 10th show to happen in Dana Point, so we’d like you to join us to make it extra special. It’s also the perfect destination to take mom for Mother’s Day.
