A group of young surfers, a family cleaning up the beach, and a beautiful sunset engagement are just some of the moments featured in our 2020 Dana Point Community Calendar. We really wanted to capture the spirit of our community; that’s why we asked people living and visiting Dana Point to submit their favorite snapshots via social media. We received hundreds of entries, which made picking our finalists difficult. Thank you to everyone who participated.
Here’s a preview of our 2020 Dana Point Community Calendar.
JPVS Photo perfectly captured the spirit of California Surfing Day with this image of Surf Coach Eric Diamond and this youth riding the waves. It’s part of an event put on by the Dana Point Surf Club and the City of Dana Point at Doheny State Beach. In September, kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley experienced an afternoon of professional surf lessons thanks to volunteers from the Dana Point Surf Club and support from Dana Point Harbor Partners, O’Neill, Girl in the Girl, Westwind Sailing and Killer Dana.
It’s no surprise you’ll see this next picture from Holland Chance Photography in the month of February. We can’t think of a more romantic setting to pop this life-changing question. By the way, she said yes. Congratulations to the happy couple!
The Good Ol’ Days of Summer. This photograph was taken on July 4th by Andrea Coleman. You can bet these teens stuck around for the Fireworks Extravaganza right outside of Dana Point Harbor.
The calendar includes events happening around the City like the annual Firework Extravaganza as well as a tide chart and closure dates for City Offices and CUSD schools.
The 2020 complimentary Community Calendar is available now. You can find them at the Dana Point Community Center (34052 Del Obispo Street) or Dana Point City Hall (33282 Golden Lantern Street).
