Run the Race before you stuff your face at the 41st annual Dana Point Turkey Trot

The leaves have changed colors, the days are getting shorter, and we’re preparing for the 41st Annual Dana Point Turkey Trot presented by the Monarch Beach Resort on Thanksgiving morning Thursday, November 22.

The Orange County tradition continues this year along with its scenic routes with several family-friendly races including 5K races, a 10K and the Kid’s Gobble Wobble.  All participants will receive a shirt and medal. Chip timing is available for the 10K and both 5K races. For a detailed schedule and registration information, click here or visit www.turkeytrot.com

The Turkey Trot wouldn’t be complete without the annual costume contest! You can dress up for the best child, adult, or group costume. The winners will be selected and announced between the 5K races just after 9:00 a.m.

Are you more of a lie in bed and watch the Thanksgiving day parade kind of runner? You can sign up to be a virtual runner and receive the race shirt! If you want to get involved on race day, there are opportunities to become a sponsor, volunteer, and even donate to the goodie bags. Show your community support by clicking here (here needs link not support).

In addition to the fun runs, there will be a two-day Health and Wellness Expo Wednesday, November 21 and Thursday, November 22. There will be local and national vendors showcasing a variety of products to enhance your life.

Online registration will close at 11:55 p.m. on Monday, November 19th with no exceptions, but you can register on-site Wednesday and Thursday at the Expo.

There will be free four-hour parking available in the Dana Point Harbor, where you can also dine, shop and explore. Free shuttles will also be continuously running on race day from Dana Hills High School.
